It’s a day for people to not be ashamed of who they really are and be comfortable in their own skin.

On October 11, 1987, half a million people participated in a March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. Each year on Oct. 11, National Coming Out Day continues to promote a safe world for LGBTQ individuals to live truthfully and openly.

Zebra Coalition is an organization that provides services to the LGBTQ youth community. They’re helping young people face bullying, homelessness, sexual or drug abuse guiding them to recovery and stability.
