The solar eclipse is almost here!

This natural phenomenon will take place on Monday, August 21, and this is the first time the US has been able to see a solar eclipse since 1979.

Basically, the moon will pass in between the sun and the Earth, blocking in our case most of the sun for about three hours.

Where you are in the country determines how much of an eclipse you will see. That’s why TIME mocked up a simulation that illustrates exactly what we will see on Monday, so click here to check it out!
