Women in Hollywood are SAVAGE this week calling out past directors and males in the industry that are sexist and misogynistic. First Elizabeth Banks called out Steven Spielberg yesterday, now Emmy Rossum. She said her agent called her with a role that she didn’t even need to audition for, all she had to do was meet the director….IN A BIKINI.
@EmmyRossum reveals she was once asked by a director to come in for an audition in a bikini: The character was "not in a bikini in the movie. Not naked in the movie. 'We really love your work, but we just want to see how tight your ass is.' Are you f—ing kidding me? Last time I checked, I'm not a f—ing model."
She says, quote, “He wanted to know if I was fat now. That was basically the question. Not in a bikini in the movie. Not naked in the movie. ‘We really love your work, but we just want to see how tight your ass is.’ Are you [effing] kidding me?”
Elizabeth Banks is apologizing for what she said about Spielberg yesterday. (Realizing you don’t bite the hand that feeds you) At a ‘Women in Film’ event she went off about women in Hollywood and how men think they rule the industry.
She was urging women to take on more roles in directing and producing. She called him out for never directing a film with a female lead role, which is incorrect because he directed THE COLOR PURLE and THE SUGARLAND EXPRESS with Goldie Hawn.
She has since apologized via twitter saying “I framed my comments inaccurately. I want to be clear from the start that I take full responsibility for what I said and I’m sorry . . . it was not my intention to dismiss the import of the iconic ‘The Color Purple’.”
The Chainsmokers have been facing some HATERS lately and they are taking some good advice from a band that knows A LOT about haters…NICKELBACK! They suggested never google yourself and focus on those fans at the shows NOT those that critique you. Chad Kroger said that critics are “mean and ruthless” and don’t look for the negative. “ if you are looking for negativity, it’s easy to find.” The Chainsmokers then tweeted out, “Lol, yeah, you don’t give [an eff] about them . . . love the people that support you and keep proving everyone wrong.”
Calvin Harris is on a roll. I think that break up with Taylor Swift last year sent him pole-vaulting into more hit music. He just released a track which we love called FEELS and it’s a BIG collaboration with Katy Perry, Pharrell and Big Sean.
