I’m not going to lie, I’m not a die hard fan of the X-Men movies.

How you ask? Well, for starters there are too many movies, they don’t go in any sort of order, and the stories from the movies I have seen sort of mesh together.

Logan however was a pretty good film.

This movie was a bit more violent and gory than the other X-Men movies I’ve seen, and it was a bit slow in parts, but overall again, a pretty decent movie that humanizes the once invincible super hero. In the movie, we see an older Wolverine who is sick, extremely weak, and literally dying. He now goes by Logan, and he’s struggling with caring for the now feeble professor, accepting the daughter he never knew he had, and getting this little girl to safety since of course, there are people who want to kill her.

The other mutants that we’ve come to know and love in other X-men movies are┬ámentioned, but don’t appear in this film, and there are a number of unanswered questions leaving us to expect another X-Men movie to probably explain a great deal of what happened in this movie.

Overall, Logan is action packed, surprisingly emotional, but I honestly wouldn’t spend my last dollar on going to see it.
