I think, no, I am positive that Facebook is stalking me, and here’s how I know.

Just last week I wrote a movie review on the movie Get Out.

I posted about the movie review on my Facebook pages, and now everything Get Out related has popped up on my timeline. Some of this stuff is recent and some is from two to three weeks ago!

For a while now, I know we’ve all noticed that social media sites are tracking our search histories and tailoring our timelines to show us what they think we want to see.

However, just because I may have Googled bedroom furniture 75 times does not not mean that I want to see bedroom furniture deals on my social media timeline.

Sorry social media, but I didn’t come to Facebook , Instagram, and Twitter to continue my furniture search. Believe it or not I came on here to actually be social!

I want to like my college friend’s post about her pregnancy when she actually posts it, not four weeks into her second trimester.

So, whoever is out there doing the stalking for these social media sites, I know that you think that you’re doing us a favor by tailoring what we see to our current interest, but stop.

We didn’t ask for it, we don’t need it, and honestly, it’s pretty creepy!
