In the late ’80s, the Miami rap group 2 Live Crew turned the music world upside down with their hyper-sexualized hip-hop, eventually leading the group to the U.S. Supreme Court after the Broward County Circuit Court deemed their landmark Nasty As They Wanna Be album as obscene in an attempt to have it outlawed.

While Borgore’s explicit tracks have yet to find him afoul of the law, his music follows in the 2 Live Crew’s tradition of shredding the envelope of decorum to an extreme with decidedly dirty tunes like “Nympho” and “Gloryhole.”

A staple on the EDM circuit for years with his raunchy X-rated reinvention of the dubstep sound, Borgore hit public consciousness at large with the release of his 2012 single, “Decisions,” which featured vocals from Miley Cyrus, who also showed up in the track’s music video to participate in a massive cake fight and make out with a guy wearing a unicorn mask

The then-unlikely duo cemented their mutual admiration when Cyrus popped up onstage in full dominatrix gear during Borgore’s “Christmas Creampie Concert” in Los Angeles later on that same year.
