But this week brings one of his unlikeliest collaborations yet: Maroon 5.
The Kanye West protégé flipped the first single from Maroon 5‘s upcoming V, the decidedly pop love song “Maps.” Big Sean puts his stamp on the production, tricking out the song with a flashier drum beat and pitched-up vocals that give it a club-bound feel.
In fact, maybe that makes it less than unlikely. After all, the band released “Payphone,” off their last album, with a verse from rapper Wiz Khalifa.
