Chuck D Takes On Kanye & Jay-Z, Refuses To Be A ‘N—- In Paris’

Public Enemy frontman, Chuck D, went on a Twitter tirade against the use of the N-word by fans in France, which was popularized by Kanye West and Jay-Z‘s GRAMMY-winning song “N****s In Paris.”

Since Sunday (April 28), Chuck has been marathon-tweeting about the N-word and his experience in France. While he took on Jay-Z and Kanye for their role in spreading the word, he also put the major record labels such as Universal Music Group, in his sites.

“I don’t expect J&K to defend anything,” he tweeted, “but it would be interesting to hear those invisible Universal big wigs ID themselves a reason to US.”

While in France, Chuck D offered a counter argument, giving context to a word that had been globally promoted by rappers such as Kanye and Jay-Z.

“Standing ovation in Lyon France telling these folks we are African NOT Ngrs In Paris,” he tweeted, “why I gotta travel PlanetEarth cleaning sht from USA?”T

To further make his point he invoked President Barack Obama, calling attention to how the word would apply to him.
