It appears that Lupe Fiasco is ready to bury the hatchet with Chief Keef. Following a very public Twitter beef that ignited after Lupe said he was in fear of the culture that Keef represents, Lupe has softened his stance.

During a recent performance at York Fest in Toronto, Canada, Lupe spoke of the beef.

“I’m far from where I wanna be, I’m far from being a stand-up human being, I’m far from being a knowledgeable and wise young man as well,” Lupe said of his own issues. “I’m somewhere in the middle. I ain’t no saint, but with that said, I love my brother. I want to see him succeed and do his thing, and that goes for everybody anywhere everywhere in the world. Shout out to the big homie Chief Keef.”

No word yet if Keef is ready to turn the page. But the rapper, who is now signed to Interscope Records, is dealing with his own problems. Keef and his gang-affiliated 300 crew have been the subject of police investigation over a rap feud with Lil JoJo, who was killed by gunmen on the streets of Chicago. For his part, Keef has denied any involvement. —Keith Murphy, CBS Local
