Lil Wayne Interview With GQ

Weezy F. sat down GQ Magazine after being named as one as the magazine’s “Gods Of Rock.”

In the November issue of GQ, Lil Wayne takes the cover alongside Eminem and Keith Richards, and in his interview, Wayne talked about the time he spent in jail and the positives he took from the situation.

“It just helped me on my way, helped me with life,” Wayne said.

“Cleared me up, cleaned me up, opened my eyes to things. I definitely thank God for that moment instead of looking at it as a problem or a bad situation. I needed it.”

During the interview, the YMCMB star also touched on his sobriety and talked about his plans to retire at 35.

“I’m good. I ain’t tripping. I’m used to it now,” Wayne said of being sober.

“But I was never on heroin or cocaine or Ecstasy or nothing like that. I drank syrup and smoked a lotta weed.”

“I wish I could be back on it. That’s how it f*cking feels.”

“I feel like I’ll be a new me, and how good is that?” he said of his plans to retire.

“To actually be opening a brand-new door of life at 35? That’d be awesome. Totally awesome. I’m looking forward to it.”

The November issue of GQ is on stands and in stores now.

Sobriety is the best feeling Weezy! Hopefully you can remain on that path after you are cleared from probation.
