According to AllHipHop.com, Gav reportedly pleaded guilty to two counts of 1st degree identity theft. On August 10, 2010, Gav and three accomplices tried to use a fake American Express and Mastercard to purchase almost $8,000 worth of merchandise at a upscale fashion boutique by the name of Hermes in Manhattan.

Undercover officers were present at the store at the time of the offense and proceeded to arrest Young Gav and his associates but they fled the scene. They were later arrested after leading police on a high speed chase at 90 mph through Manhattan.
